Frequently Asked Questions

Honest answers to the questions we hear most often.

Do you serve customers outside Florida?
No. Level Quote is licensed exclusively in Florida. We can only assist residents of the State of Florida with policies delivered in Florida. If you are not a Florida resident, please consult a licensed insurance professional in your state.
Are the quotes I receive guaranteed?
No. All quotes are preliminary estimates based on the information you provide. Your final premium is determined by the insurance company after they complete their underwriting review — which includes verifying your health history, prescription records, and other factors. We strive to provide realistic estimates but we cannot guarantee a specific rate.
What does your service cost?
Nothing. Our services are free to you. If you purchase a policy through us, we receive a commission from the insurance company. This is standard practice in the insurance industry and does not add any cost to your premium.
Do I have to take a medical exam?
It depends on the product. Final expense policies typically use simplified underwriting — health questions only, no exam. Term life and permanent life policies may require a medical exam depending on your age, the coverage amount, and the carrier's requirements. We'll let you know what to expect before you apply.
What is a graded benefit period and why does it matter?
Some life insurance policies — particularly guaranteed issue and certain simplified-issue final expense plans — do not pay the full death benefit if the insured passes away within the first 2–3 years of the policy. Instead, they return premiums paid plus interest. This is called a graded benefit period. We will always disclose this clearly before you apply so your family isn't caught off guard.
Which type of insurance is right for me?
That depends on your age, health, financial situation, and goals — and it's exactly what we're here to help you figure out. The short version: if you want the most coverage for the lowest cost and don't need it to be permanent, term life is usually best. If you're 50–85 and mainly want to cover funeral and end-of-life costs, final expense is likely the right fit. If you want lifelong coverage with cash value, whole life or universal life may be worth considering. We'll ask you the right questions and give you an honest recommendation.
How does the quote process work?
You complete our quote request form with basic information. We review what you've shared and research available options from our carrier network. A licensed agent then contacts you — by phone or email, depending on your preference — to walk through the options, answer your questions, and explain what each plan covers. There is no obligation to proceed with any plan we present.
Will you sell my information to other companies?
No. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third-party marketers. Your information is used only to process your quote request and communicate with you about insurance options. See our Privacy & SMS Terms for full details.
What if I have a complaint or concern?
We take complaints seriously. Contact us directly at info@levelquote.com and we will respond promptly. You may also contact the Florida Department of Financial Services consumer helpline at 1-877-MY-FL-CFO (1-877-693-5236) for independent assistance.
